Well, it’s off of the horse and buggy and into the 21st century. Olsen Family Vineyards has taken the plunge. We’ve started our own blog. Weblog. Online Journal. Whatever you want to call it.

After much discussion with the Olsen team, we all felt strongly that a blog would be a terrific way to let the world know what we are up to down here in our vineyard in the Willamette Valley of Oregon.

It has been a dream, an adventure and sometimes a mind blowing trip building and launching the Viridian brand of wines. Every day is filled with a new twist and turn, lots of pleasant surprises and there are always interesting stories from and about interesting people. We really want to share our stories with you.

So think of this blog as a gathering place of sorts - a way to communicate to our friends, and hopefully make new ones. A place where we can share our daily successes (and sometimes challenges) and a place for photos, videos and other information. This blog is place for celebration and education - such as tasting notes, the cycle of the vineyards throughout the year, things to do around here if you happen to be visiting our neck of the woods, and what it is really like to join in during harvest time.

Yet the blog is more really. This is where we also look to you to help provide us with feedback and your experiences as well. Olsen Family Vineyards sincerely looks forward to meeting more people and having them join in the adventure with us. Plus, there is no way we can make Viridian wines without you.

We also have a ton of activities coming up in the next few months. Everything from tastings, events, community sponsorship activities, and maybe even a contest or surprise or two in store that we’d love you to know about.
