Dean in the Vineyard

Greetings!!!

It looks like a good time for a vineyard update for everyone. It’s now the middle of July and bloom has just ended and fruit set is well underway. The set in the clusters looks good and seem to be sizing up rapidly. The vines are showing moderate vigor. Our newly planted vines look healthy and are growing. I have yet to see any powdery mildew. The warm weather we have experienced lately has helped catch the vines up a little quicker than anticipated. All in all, no problems. I’m looking forward to a good year with nice fruit set , decent yields and harvest starting the first week of October. I’ll do another update in a few weeks.
