We haven’t been keeping it a secret, but we have been busy with…drum roll please… the Olsen Family Vineyards Pro Am Sponsorship of the 2008 Jeld-Wen Tradition Golf Tournament.

Since Monday, August 11th, Olsen has been out here in lovely Sunriver, Oregon sponsoring many events and activities at the 20^th annual JELD-WEN Tradition charity golf tournament.

This four-day, 72-hole major championship includes the JELD-WEN Tradition Pro-Am on Tuesday, August 12, a tournament in which both professionals and amateurs play together as a team to help provide up to a $500,000 donation divided among 18 educational organizations. Golf legends such as Fuzzy Zoeller, Ben Crenshaw and Eduardo Romero are major participants. For many amateur golfers this is a once in a lifetime chance to play with the best of the best.

For the first time ever, Olsen will be blogging about the JELD-WEN Tradition, including interviews, photos and recaps of events.

Friday, August 15th, In the Evening, Olsen is Sponsoring a Special Viridian Wine Event.

This special, casual attire evening event takes place in the Historic Tower Theatre located in downtown Bend . Delectable food will be provided by well regarded local chef Jody Denton, owner of Merenda Restaurant. World class music will fill the venue, promising a rich and memorable evening and a wonderful end to the 2008 JELD-WEN Tradition.

In addition to the above wine event coming up this Saturday the 16th, Olsen sponsored the following events at the Pro Am this year:

• Pro-Am Registration Wine Tasting – On the first day of JELD-WEN on August 10th, Olsen Family Vineyards set the tone of fun and festivity by holding a wine tasting in the Abbot Room at the Sunriver Lodge during Pro-Am Registration.
• An Olsen Family Vineyards Pro-Am Pairings Party – On August 11th, this lively soiree paired excellent wine with excellent company at the Homestead Room at Sunriver Resort.
• Olsen Family Vineyards Pro-Am – On August 12th at the Crosswater Club. Olsen was in full force during this highlight event of the tournament where pro and amateur golfers played side by side.
• Olsen Family Vineyards Pro-Am Awards and Celebration Dinner – On August 12th, Olsen Family Vineyards held a conversation area where people sat and enjoyed excellent Viridian wines while later in the evening Viridian wines were poured during the celebration dinner. It was a gentle way to wind down from the sunshine and athletic activities from the Pro-Am earlier in the day.
