Ah the end of summer. It sure went fast didn’t it? School is back in session, the extra blankets are out of the linen closet, and if you look closely enough the canopy of green trees is starting to show hints of red, yellow and brown. It’s September in the Willamette Valley, but we all know that this just means one extra month of summer! Bright days turning into cool crisp evenings makes us want to take advantage of every last bit of this glorious season.

So please join us on Saturday, September 6th from 4-7PM in downtown Corvallis, Oregon for the annual Rhapsody in the Vineyard. The Downtown Corvallis Business Association describes it this way,

“Rhapsody in the Vineyard”, a Downtown wine walk, presented by the Downtown Corvallis Association will feature some of Oregon’s premier wineries, offering tastes of their finest vintages. Retailers throughout Downtown Corvallis will host Oregon Wineries & knowledgeabe winery representatives to answer your wine questions and describe their vintages. Downtown businesses will provide a variety of delicious appetizers along with music and/or artwork by local artists. Wine may be purchased by the bottle or by the case.

Olsen Family Vineyards will pouring Viridian Wines at Budget Blinds located at 252 SW Madison Street.

This is a very reasonably priced event, and a terrific way to sample and learn more about why the Willamette Valley has such an outstanding reputation as a world class wine producing region. Plus, we can’t think of a downtown more charming than that of Corvallis. A DCA-logo “Rhapsody in the Vineyard” wine glass and ID wristband are required for wine tasting. A $5 fee includes your wine glass and ID wristband and may be purchased at Budget Blinds or any of the other wine tasting locations included in the event.
